What got you interested in jewelry making?
I’d always loved jewellery when I was a kid and more specifically bold silver jewellery from my teens but it had never really struck me to make jewellery. I had experimented by dangling crystals on leather strings and wrapping those around my wrists and waist. I then went off to study Art and Technology and a big part of the course was materials and manufacturing which really interested me but I didn’t really know how to apply that knowledge to anything other than product design, and I’m really no good at that! It wasn’t until a few years after leaving Uni that I stumbled upon jewellery making, I just happened to overhear a conversation between two people who were discussing it and thought “I can do that!” I began searching the internet for tutorials and bead suppliers and soon started selling my work. After making a few beaded items I enrolled on a silversmithing course at my local Art Centre to try and develop my skills further.
What was your first piece?
The first thing I ever made was a bracelet, it was an ‘assembled’ piece, meaning I bought the charms, the cord and the beads and just put them all together. One of the first things I ever soldered though was the Organic Brooch in my gallery, it was a final piece for a course I was taking and an awful thing to solder because the wires had to be held down in order for it to be wearable.
How long have you been making jewelry items?
It’s been around three years since I started making jewellery and around two years since I started using metalsmithing techniques.
What all areas are you capable of?
In terms of jewellery making, I’ve so far learnt to enamel, solder, forge, form, string beads, etch and lots more. This is all a learning process though and there’s plenty left to discover but it’s very difficult when you share your workshop with your bedroom!
Do you accept Custom requests, and do you take on Commissions?
I do accept custom requests and commissions as well as sales on the items I’ve already created.

New Gallery folder
Hello people! :)
Yes it has been awhile, and I hope you've all enjoyed sharing your works at our great platform?
It was brought to my attention that some of you are submitting 3D Computer generated drawings into the Metal Work gallery folder, please refrain from doing so? I've created a new Gallery Folder for your CG or 3D images, just so that we can better differentiate a real material object from that.
If you have any problems or issues, please feel free to contact me! And I would appreciate if you can resubmit your 3D generated images into this new appropriate Gallery folder as well! Or else I will simply just delete them from the M
membership
I know JewelryClub is just one group here among the many types here on DA, and I am so happy to see these constant new influx of membership requests!! Hi to all our new members!! :D Please know that we're here to help if and when we're able!! Feel free to contact myself if you need my attention to something. :) I don't bite.... usually.... :P
Now I would like to raise the subject of copyright, again, and again.... so please bear with me!
Most of the time I will just go ahead and approve membership requests, though through the years I've blocked one DA member from our club, and just very recently declined one that applied. I am not

*waving to all the new members* Hiya!! :D Glad to have you all join us! We're not a very loud group here on DA, but we do have a great collection of artisans who creates gorgeous arts! :D
Once again, I would like to remind you again that when you submit into our Gallery, please select appropriate folder in the drop-down menu to submit. Every single day when I check Group message I am still seeing a lot of submission that submits into the Featured Folder, it's a shame really, because us admin will decline those submission if you ever wondered why. And those that send
Keys for TRADE!
I would love to do trades with anyone who has something interesting they'd like me to look at!
I am willing to look at anything, though when it comes to actual artwork and prints, I'm very picky because my house is already covered in my own art. But I'd still love to see what you can bring to the table! To view my keys, come on over to my gallery! :)
